I read that and had to laugh for a second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The disciples are out in the middle of the lake, exhausted, fighting the wind, probably thinking they\u2019re in real trouble\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And Jesus comes walking on the water toward them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But then\u2026 \u201cHe was about to pass them by\u201d What? Like dudes were about to be sent to the shadow realm and Jesus was on a stroll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Like\u2026 imagine you\u2019re out there struggling for your life, and Jesus just strolls by like He\u2019s out for a morning walk \ud83d\ude04<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course, He doesn\u2019t actually leave them. They freak out, think He\u2019s a ghost, and then He immediately says, \u201cTake courage! It is I. Don\u2019t be afraid,\u201d and gets in the boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I just love that moment because it feels so real. They\u2019re panicking, and Jesus shows up in the most unexpected way possible\u2026 calm, in control, and honestly kind of funny from their perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes God shows up in ways we don\u2019t expect at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
