Listening to the voice of God begins with a heart that is willing to slow down, surrender, and pay attention. God does not compete with the noise of the world, the rush of our emotions, or the pressure of our own plans, so learning to hear Him means drawing near to Him through His Word, prayer, and obedience. His voice will never contradict Scripture, and it often leads with both truth and peace (grace), even when it corrects us. The more we walk and talk with Him, the more we learn to recognize His leading, not as something strange or distant, but as the steady voice of a Shepherd who knows His sheep and lovingly guides them.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27
