Matthew 5:23-24|Romans 12:18

This week, remember that worship isn’t just the songs we sing, and prayer isn’t just the words we say to God. Worship is the way we honor God with our hearts, our choices, and our lives. Fellowship is the connection, unity, and love we are meant to have with other believers as part of God’s family. That means broken relationships matter to God. Jesus said that if we come to worship and remember someone has something against us, we should go and make it right first, then come back and offer our gift. Whether I hurt them, or they hurt me, I don’t get to ignore broken fellowship and keep pretending worship is unaffected. Even our prayers can be hindered when we refuse humility, forgiveness, or reconciliation, because God cares about both our words to Him and our hearts toward others. Romans 12:18 says, “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” So this week, ask God to show you where peace needs to be pursued, and have the courage to take the first step.
