Revelation 21:3-4 ESV
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:3-5 carries so much hope inside it. But it reminds me of John 11, Jesus stood outside the tomb of Lazarus surrounded by grieving people. The incredible part is Jesus already knew He was about to raise Lazarus from the dead, yet He still wept. Why? Because death, pain, loss, sickness, grief, none of it was ever part of what His Father intended for creation. Jesus was looking directly at the brokenness sin had brought into the world, and it moved Him deeply.

That is why Revelation 21 is so powerful. It is not just a promise of “someday things get better.” It is the restoration of everything sin destroyed. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more.” The same Jesus who wept at Lazarus’ tomb is the same King preparing a kingdom with no funerals, no suffering, no anxiety, no sickness, and no separation from God ever again. Some of you are carrying heavy things right now, things nobody else sees. But never mistake God’s silence for absence or His delay for indifference. Jesus knows what grief feels like. He knows what loss feels like. And one day, He will make all things new.

May your week be filled with hope. May you remember that your pain is seen by God, and may you hold tightly to the promise that what is broken now will not stay broken forever.
